Yeah, rise up, my brother
Jah bless the real ones, easy now
Through the darkest night and the brightest day
You stood by me, never walked away
A source of inspiration when the road was steep
The promises of friendship that you always keep
In the sun and in the rain, you remain the same
So I sing this song to honor your name
You are my champion, champion with distinction
A true friend through the struggle and the friction
Without someone like you, tell me what is humanity?
Respect to my soldier for life, living in unity
You lifted my spirit when I was falling down
Never let me wear a heavy, heavy crown
A solid rock, a guiding light so bright
Standing strong for justice, standing for the right
No words can measure what your presence is worth
The sweetest soul upon this earth
You are my champion, champion with distinction
A true friend through the struggle and the friction
Without someone like you, tell me what is humanity?
Respect to my soldier for life, living in unity
Soldier for life, yeah
One love, respect always
Jah bless
