(Hallelujah)
He reaches down to save the lost
He paid the heavy cost
I watched the shadows pull him in
The chains of habit and the weight of sin
He lost his grip, he lost his way
I watched my love begin to fray
The fire was burning, it took its toll
I saw the battle for his very soul
I stood in silence, I stood in fear
Until the moment that the truth became clear
But then I fell down on my knees
I surrendered it all to the King of Peace
And Jesus reached into the darkest night
He brought my brother back into the light
He sets the captives free, yes He does
He mends the broken heart with all His love
My beloved is back, his spirit is restored
Giving all the glory to the Lord
He walked through fire, he touched the grave
But mercy is the power that can save
His manhood shaken, his life on the line
But the Master’s touch is by design
He broke the cycle, He broke the cord
I thank You Jesus, You are the Lord
The chains are falling, the prison door
Is open wide now, forevermore
But then I fell down on my knees
I surrendered it all to the King of Peace
And Jesus reached into the darkest night
He brought my brother back into the light
He sets the captives free, yes He does
He mends the broken heart with all His love
My beloved is back, his spirit is restored
Giving all the glory to the Lord
(Praise Him)
He didn't let him go, no He stayed near
He wiped away every single tear
He took the habit and He cast it down
He gave my love a brand new crown
(Yes Lord, thank You Jesus)
He reclaimed his life, he’s standing tall
He’s the one who answers every call
So let the choir sing of grace today
For the one who found a better way
He’s healthy now, his heart is healed
His destiny is finally revealed
No more losing, no more strife
He’s got a brand new lease on life
(Amen, glory, glory)
But then I fell down on my knees
I surrendered it all to the King of Peace
And Jesus reached into the darkest night
He brought my brother back into the light
He sets the captives free, yes He does
He mends the broken heart with all His love
My beloved is back, his spirit is restored
Giving all the glory to the Lord
He set him free, oh yes He did
My beloved is standing free
Thank You Jesus, for the victory
Restored by Your love, amen.
