(Reggae rhythm steady)
Yeah, yeah
From the halls of Groves Academy
A special day, a special soul
Rizwan Oria, stand up tall
Yeah, we celebrate you today
The morning sun is shining bright today
Little Rizwan walking in a brand new way
From the gifted halls, yeah he made the grade
All the hard work finally has been paid
Look at that kitenge, that African thread
A symbol of the wisdom in his head
He looks outstanding, standing in his place
A beautiful smile upon his shining face
Rizwan Oria, today we celebrate your name
Rizwan Oria, you’ve risen to the game
In your gown and your cap, you’re looking so grand
The smartest little graduate in all of the land
Oh, we celebrate the achievement you’ve won
Ready for the challenge of the grade one sun
He’s a legend in the making, wait and see
Groves Academy pride, for the world to be
Everything you touched, you did it with grace
Now you’re moving forward at your own pace
The gifts are flowing, coming in a line
Because a star like you is destined to shine
Your mama and your papa, they are so proud
We’re singing your praises, singing it loud
Rizwan Oria, today we celebrate your name
Rizwan Oria, you’ve risen to the game
In your gown and your cap, you’re looking so grand
The smartest little graduate in all of the land
Oh, we celebrate the achievement you’ve won
Ready for the challenge of the grade one sun
Now move the table, bring the sweet delight
The cake is waiting, glowing in the light
Gather round the circle, let the music swell
This moment is magic, cast under a spell
Gather the plates, yeah, light up the flame
We’re calling you forward, Rizwan is the name
Get ready for the slice, the sweetness in the air
This celebration moment is beyond compare
Step by step you’re moving, climbing up the tree
From the little classroom, setting spirit free
Grade one is calling, a mountain to climb
But you’re prepared for it, ahead of your time
Keep that kitenge, wear it like a crown
No matter what happens, you won’t let us down
Rizwan, you’re brilliant, you’re brave and you’re true
And all of these blessings are following you
Rizwan Oria, today we celebrate your name
Rizwan Oria, you’ve risen to the game
In your gown and your cap, you’re looking so grand
The smartest little graduate in all of the land
Oh, we celebrate the achievement you’ve won
Ready for the challenge of the grade one sun
Yeah, Rizwan Oria
Groves Academy’s finest
We love you so much, son
Keep on shining, keep on climbing
Yeah, grade one here we come
(Reggae fade out with brass hits)
