(Nna! Oya!)
Today the sun is shining, the music is playing
It’s a special day for our queen, Ariyike!
Wake up early, put on your dancing shoes
Today we celebrate, there is no time to lose
From Abeokuta to Lagos, the news is spreading wide
Ariyike is a year older, with so much pride
You bring the sunshine, you bring the light
Everything you touch is glowing, everything is bright
My sister, my heart, you are truly the best
Above all the rest, you pass every test
Oh Ariyike, oya, it’s your birthday
Chai, we dey celebrate you in a special way
You be the queen of the dance floor today
God bless your years, hip hip hooray
Ariyike, omalicha, shine your light
We go chop life, yeah, all through the night
Look at your smile, it is pure gold
A story of greatness that is yet to be told
You work so hard, you never settle for less
That is why your life is filled with success
Remember the days when we were just small
Now you are standing, standing so tall
My dear sister, keep rising to the top
Your blessing is coming, it will never stop
Oh Ariyike, oya, it’s your birthday
Chai, we dey celebrate you in a special way
You be the queen of the dance floor today
God bless your years, hip hip hooray
Ariyike, omalicha, shine your light
We go chop life, yeah, all through the night
(Omo! Ah ah!)
Raise your glass, let the palm wine flow
See how the energy continues to grow
To my sister Ariyike, we give you this song
You stay humble, you stay strong all along
Many more years of grace and of peace
May your harvest of joy never, ever cease
We love you dearly, more than words can say
Enjoy every moment of this beautiful day
From the bottom of our hearts, we wish you well
A story of glory, a story to tell
Ariyike, nwa, you are the pride of the land
With you by our side, everything is grand
Oh Ariyike, oya, it’s your birthday
Chai, we dey celebrate you in a special way
You be the queen of the dance floor today
God bless your years, hip hip hooray
Ariyike, omalicha, shine your light
We go chop life, yeah, all through the night
Happy birthday to you, Ariyike!
(Chop life!)
Yes, you are the star, you are the one
Our celebration has only just begun
(Nna! Oya!)
Happy birthday, Ariyike!
