(Talking drum echoes soft and slow)
Omo, the silence is too loud today
Big Pot, why you leave us this way?
Lawson and Adesuwa dey wait for you
(Chai, the pain is heavy)
Rose Osarenren, they call you Big Pot
But the promise wey you make, you break it all
Adesuwa your daughter, she dey cry for night
Brother Lawson lookin' for you, but no light
Why November 15, why that day you choose?
To leave the ones you love, to make us all lose
Big Pot, oh Big Pot, we need you here one time
Just to look into your face, to heal this mountain climb
Why you put pain and tears in our hearts today?
Big Pot, you left us with words you didn't say
Answers we are seeking, but you don't respond
Broken hearts are waiting, tied in this bond
Lawson calling out your name in the dark of room
Every memory of you just feels like looming doom
Is it the way of the world or the way of the soul?
That you leave us here broken, losing all control
I don't fit hold this weight, the questions burn my chest
Why you turn your back now, taking eternal rest?
Big Pot, oh Big Pot, we need you here one time
Just to look into your face, to heal this mountain climb
Why you put pain and tears in our hearts today?
Big Pot, you left us with words you didn't say
Answers we are seeking, but you don't respond
Broken hearts are waiting, tied in this bond
Adesuwa is asking, the question is too much
She reaches for your hand, but she cannot feel your touch
Big Pot, you hold the keys to the pain we bear
How we go move forward when the space is bare?
Big Pot, oh Big Pot, we need you here one time
Just to look into your face, to heal this mountain climb
Why you put pain and tears in our hearts today?
Big Pot, you left us with words you didn't say
Answers we are seeking, but you don't respond
Broken hearts are waiting, tied in this bond
Big Pot, the silence is the answer now
We miss you so much, we mourn and we bow
Lawson and Adesuwa, we stay strong for you
(Talking drum fades out slowly)
Rest in peace, Big Pot.
(Soft fading hum)
