Yeah, we moving with the light
It’s a celebration tonight, mmm
October seventh, nineteen thirty-seven, the spark began
A vision taking flight, guided by a higher plan
Foundation stone laid down with a spirit so pure
Eighty-nine years of healing, a love that will endure
Sisters of the Immaculate Heart, walking in the grace
Bringing hope and gentle kindness to every single place
Oh, we celebrate the heart, the mother of the light
Leading us to Jesus through the shadows of the night
Eighty-nine years strong, the IHM legacy
Built on humble service, for all the world to see
Ad Jesum per Mariam, our guiding star above
We move with the light, yeah, we move with the love
Caring for the sick, where the maternity wards remain
Lifting up the children, easing every kind of pain
Training hearts for marriage, educating every mind
A century of charity, the rarest of its kind
From the very first day, you stood for what is true
Compassion is the charism that carries us all through
Oh, we celebrate the heart, the mother of the light
Leading us to Jesus through the shadows of the night
Eighty-nine years strong, the IHM legacy
Built on humble service, for all the world to see
Ad Jesum per Mariam, our guiding star above
We move with the light, yeah, we move with the love
Special children of the heart, we follow where you lead
Planting seeds of mercy, fulfilling every need
With humility as our armor, and faith inside our soul
This beautiful mission makes the broken spirit whole
Come here, let the light shine through
Indigenous foundation, roots deep in the soil
Celebrating decades of your tireless, holy toil
IHM at eighty-nine, the vision never fades
Protecting all the vulnerable through the changing of the shades
Yeah, we celebrate you, baby, you’re the guiding hand
Spreading peace and goodness all across the land
Oh, we celebrate the heart, the mother of the light
Leading us to Jesus through the shadows of the night
Eighty-nine years strong, the IHM legacy
Built on humble service, for all the world to see
Ad Jesum per Mariam, our guiding star above
We move with the light, yeah, we move with the love
Eighty-nine years of love, yeah
Leading us to Jesus, mmm
Special hearts, shining bright
We move with the light, we move with the love
Yeah, IHM forever.
