(Whispered) Rest on, Mama Award...
(Soft hum)
Your hustle was the light of Azudam.
We miss you, Mama.
Early morning sun, you on the road again
To the market stalls, where the struggle never ends
From Nwafia to Ogala, you carried the weight
Building the future for your children, defying the fate
No time for gossip, no time for the hate
You were the definition of a woman so great
What a man can do, you did it with grace
Putting a smile on every soul in this place.
Oh, Mama Award, you were a gift to us all
Even when the road was steep, you didn't fall
Chief Roseline Ewenyi, your name will remain
In the heart of the community, washing the pain
We miss you, Mama, but God knows the best
It is time for the struggle to lay down to rest.
A cheerful giver, you shared what you had
An encourager when the times were so bad
In Effium community, your spirit stays strong
You taught us to fight, you taught us to belong
It hurts to see you go when the harvest is near
We wipe away the sorrow, we wipe away the tear
Your life is a story, a standard we hold
More precious than silver, more valued than gold.
Rest on, Chief, you have finished the race
We find our consolation in the warmth of your face
Though the silence is heavy, your legacy shines
In every seed you planted, across all the lines.
Rest on, Mama Award.
We will never forget the hustle.
(Fade out with soft piano and distant shekere)
We love you, Mama.
Rest in peace.
