(Choir humming with soft organ swell)
Oh, Brother Joseph…
Joseph Audu Jatau, we celebrate you today.
Hallelujah, heaven gained an angel.
You walked this earth with a heart of gold,
A legacy of service, stories to be told.
You were a teacher to those who sought the light,
A faithful leader who fought the good fight.
Though we cannot see your face today,
Your kindness guides us in every single way.
Joseph, Joseph, Brother Joseph!
We will carry your light forevermore!
Though you have gone to be with the Lord,
Your story lives in our hearts, that is for sure!
Joseph, Joseph, Brother Joseph!
May God grant you rest in perfect peace,
Rest in His garden where sorrows cease,
Until we meet again, rest in peace!
A father to the fatherless, you stood so tall,
A friend to the needy, you answered the call.
Your smile is a memory that time cannot erase,
A gentle spirit filled with amazing grace.
Zangon Kataf remembers the impact you made,
A beautiful foundation that never will fade.
(Choir rising intensity)
Oh, the works you did are shouting out your name!
Even in absence, your love is the same!
We thank the Lord for the life that you led,
We keep your spirit alive in all that you said!
Praise the Lord, for a soul so true!
We celebrate the heaven-bound life of you!
Your words were lessons we hold in our mind,
A legacy of love that you left behind.
We miss your laughter, we miss your grace,
But we know you’re running a better race.
Keep shining bright in the presence of God,
Safe in the path that the righteous have trod.
Rest in peace, Brother Joseph.
You did your best, now you have your rest.
(Choir: We miss you, Brother Joseph)
Glory to the King for your life.
Amen, Amen, Amen.
(Fade out with soft trumpet)
