Yeah, look at you now, baby
Oh, you're lighting up the room, Mary Joy
Early morning sun peeking through the glass
Watching you grow, watching the time pass
You took on the challenge, you took on the test
Put in the work, yeah, you gave it your best
Third grade's a mountain but you found your way
Every little lesson, girl, you seize the day
I'm so proud, can't you see it in my eyes?
Watching you blossom beneath the clear blue skies
Mary Joy Aldecy, you're reaching for the light
Everything you touch, you make it shine so bright
Top of your class, yeah, you're doing so well
Got a story that the whole wide world needs to tell
Mary Joy, you're the pride of my heart
Watching you grow, this is only the start
Yeah, baby, you're glowing, you're soaring so high
Mary Joy Aldecy, reach for the sky
Teachers are talking, they say you're a star
And I know you'll be heading for things that are far
Math and the reading, you handle it all
Every single day, you're standing so tall
I see the discipline, I see the grace
There's a beautiful smile upon your little face
It's a blessing to witness the way that you shine
So thankful to know that this daughter is mine
Mary Joy Aldecy, you're reaching for the light
Everything you touch, you make it shine so bright
Top of your class, yeah, you're doing so well
Got a story that the whole wide world needs to tell
Mary Joy, you're the pride of my heart
Watching you grow, this is only the start
Yeah, baby, you're glowing, you're soaring so high
Mary Joy Aldecy, reach for the sky
Oh, keep moving forward, never let 'em bring you down
You're a queen in the making, you deserve that crown
With every step, with every goal you reach
You're living out the lessons that your spirit teaches
(Mmm, yeah, keep going)
So keep your head up high, keep your focus strong
Right where you are is exactly where you belong
Third grade success is the rhythm of your song
We've been praying for this, yeah, all along
Mary Joy, you're my miracle, my light, my grace
Nothing in this world can ever take your place
Mary Joy Aldecy, you're reaching for the light
Everything you touch, you make it shine so bright
Top of your class, yeah, you're doing so well
Got a story that the whole wide world needs to tell
Mary Joy, you're the pride of my heart
Watching you grow, this is only the start
Yeah, baby, you're glowing, you're soaring so high
Mary Joy Aldecy, reach for the sky
Yeah, you're doing it, Mary Joy
So proud of you, baby
Keep shining your light
Yeah, you're the joy of my world
Oh, Mary Joy Aldecy.
