Chale! Ei! Today we celebrate!
For the one who made it, John, oyiwa!
Look at the boy, standing so tall and bright
Through the long nights, you kept your focus right
We know the struggle, the road was never paved
But look at the victory, the strength that you saved
From the early morning study to the evening grind
You left all the worries and the doubts behind
Chale, see my boy now, wearing the crown
You represent the family all over the town
John, it’s your graduation day, let the horns play
Celebrate the moment, dance your cares away
Grandma Eness is smiling, she’s so proud of you
Jehovah bless your path in everything you do
Chop life today, because you paid the price
Everything you earned, it tastes so nice
We didn't have much, but we have love to give
In this journey, that’s the way we choose to live
To be here with you, it’s a blessing in my soul
Watching you achieve this big and beautiful goal
Wonim? You fought the storm and you didn't break
Look at the history that you decide to make
Keep moving forward, keep your head to the sky
Your limit is nothing, you were born to fly
John, it’s your graduation day, let the horns play
Celebrate the moment, dance your cares away
Grandma Eness is smiling, she’s so proud of you
Jehovah bless your path in everything you do
Chop life today, because you paid the price
Everything you earned, it tastes so nice
Ah ah! Joy in my heart, overflowing today
We gather round to hear what the people say
Congratulations John, you’re the star of the show
From a little boy to the man we know
Take a sip of the sweetness of the fruit you bear
There’s magic in the music, magic in the air
We are here, family standing by your side
With so much gratitude, and so much pride
Keep the faith, John, keep the spirit strong
This is where the victory has always belonged
John, it’s your graduation day, let the horns play
Celebrate the moment, dance your cares away
Grandma Eness is smiling, she’s so proud of you
Jehovah bless your path in everything you do
Chop life today, because you paid the price
Everything you earned, it tastes so nice
Chop life, John! Oyiwa!
Grandma Eness is dancing, yeah!
It’s your day, take it all in!
Congratulations, my boy!
