(Talking drum rhythm fades in)
Oya, hear this word, FMC Onitsha stand up
It’s a bittersweet day, we don't want to say goodbye
But the season must change, yeah
One year of service, one year of the grind
Leaving all the memories we left behind
To the mentors who held us through the storm
Dr. Mercy Anugwu, you kept us warm
At FMC Onitsha, you showed us the way
Professional guidance every single day
Barr. Ihuoma Caleb, your wisdom remains
Dr. Agu Thyword, you eased all our pains
Oh, FMC Onitsha, we carry the light
Dr. Anugwu Mercy, you guided us right
From the wards to the halls, we worked as a team
Now we step out to chase every dream
FMC Onitsha, you’re part of our soul
As we leave this place, you made us whole
We thank the Pharmacy, Pharm. Marymartha Akubueze
Lady Ezeani Justina, your grace puts us at ease
Dr. Ilongwu in Optometry, you taught us the best
To always stand tall and pass every test
To the committee, Stanley Okpala and Elizabeth Amene
For the planning and love that was clearly seen
Mr. Ebere, you were part of the crew
Thanks for the support, we’re grateful to you
Oh, FMC Onitsha, we carry the light
Dr. Anugwu Mercy, you guided us right
From the wards to the halls, we worked as a team
Now we step out to chase every dream
FMC Onitsha, you’re part of our soul
As we leave this place, you made us whole
It’s not just a job, it’s a life we have built
No room for the sadness, no room for the guilt
Excellence is the goal, excellence is the key
We carry the spirit of FMC
To my fellow interns, the journey was long
But look at us now, we are standing so strong
Go out and conquer, be the best that you can
Follow the path, follow the plan
Dr. Anugwu Mercy, you represent class
FMC Onitsha, this memory will last
Farewell to the family, farewell to the team
Onward we go to the next big dream
FMC Onitsha, keep shining so bright
(Shekere fade out)
Dr. Anugwu Mercy, goodnight, goodnight.
