Oh, Lord, be near them now
Carry the weight, carry the load
Mr. and Mrs. Makai, I know your hearts are torn
In the quiet of the morning, feeling so forlorn
Eugine has left this earth, but love will never die
We lift your heavy spirits up toward the open sky
Yes Lord, walk with them through the shadow
Oh, Eugine, you are resting in the arms of grace
We keep your memory held in this sacred place
Mr. and Mrs. Makai, you are not walking alone
God is your shelter, your comfort, and your home
Praise Him for the time that he gave
Even in the sorrow, He’s the One who saves
I know the house feels empty, I know the days are long
But look to the Father, He’s the author of the song
Eugine’s laughter echoes in the halls of your mind
A beautiful legacy that you’re destined to find
Thank You Jesus, for the peace that passes understanding
Oh, Eugine, you are resting in the arms of grace
We keep your memory held in this sacred place
Mr. and Mrs. Makai, you are not walking alone
God is your shelter, your comfort, and your home
Glory, He is holding you tight
Through the darkness, into His morning light
He’s a bridge over waters that are rising high
He’s the light in the dark when you start to cry
Lean on His promise, trust in His plan
Hold on to the grip of His mighty hand
Yes Lord, yes Lord, amen
So let the tears fall, let them wash away the pain
Like a gentle blessing in the middle of the rain
Eugine is watching from a place of perfect peace
May your hearts find comfort and a sweet release
Hallelujah, we trust in You today
Oh, Eugine, you are resting in the arms of grace
We keep your memory held in this sacred place
Mr. and Mrs. Makai, you are not walking alone
God is your shelter, your comfort, and your home
Thank You Jesus, for the hope we hold
In the story of love that never grows old
Rest in peace, Eugine
Mr. and Mrs. Makai, you are loved
He is holding you
Amen, amen
