(Upbeat, celebratory rhythmic handclaps and a bright acoustic guitar melody)
Yeah, today the sun is shining brighter
Seven candles on the cake, one for every year
Let’s celebrate you, Joshua
Oh, it’s a beautiful day, a beautiful day
Seven years ago you came into our world
Like a morning star, your banner was unfurled
Tiny hands and feet, a miracle in sight
You brought a brand new dawn and pushed away the night
Every day you’re growing, reaching for the sky
With a laughter that can make the heavy spirits fly
Seven years of wisdom, seven years of grace
Everything is better when we see your smiling face
Oh, Joshua, you’re seven years today
We’re singing out your name in a joyous way
Seven years of sunshine, seven years of light
You’re our greatest blessing, shining ever bright
Happy birthday, Joshua, the world is yours to see
Living out the love that makes us want to be
Everything you dream, everything you hope
With you by our side, we know we’re gonna cope
Look at you running, playing in the sun
Your journey’s just started, the race has just begun
With every single lesson, you’re learning how to grow
Into the kind of person that the world will surely know
You’re kind and you’re courageous, a heart of pure gold
A story of a champion that’s waiting to be told
We love you more than words can ever really say
So let the music play for your seventh birthday
Oh, Joshua, you’re seven years today
We’re singing out your name in a joyous way
Seven years of sunshine, seven years of light
You’re our greatest blessing, shining ever bright
Happy birthday, Joshua, the world is yours to see
Living out the love that makes us want to be
Everything you dream, everything you hope
With you by our side, we know we’re gonna cope
Seven candles burning, make a wish so true
Everything you dream of is coming back to you
From the morning waking to the evening stars
There is nothing that can stop you, no matter where you are
Yeah, you’re our champion, our hero in the sun
Seven years down, and you’ve only just begun
Oh, Joshua, you’re seven years today
We’re singing out your name in a joyous way
Seven years of sunshine, seven years of light
You’re our greatest blessing, shining ever bright
Happy birthday, Joshua, the world is yours to see
Living out the love that makes us want to be
Everything you dream, everything you hope
With you by our side, we know we’re gonna cope
Seven years, Joshua
Yeah, celebrate the day
Keep on shining, keep on growing
We love you so much
Happy birthday, our boy
(Fade out with festive horns and rhythm)
