Oye! Today we celebrate!
It’s a special day, Harun, yeah!
October tenth is on the calendar today
The sun is shining in a very special way
I hear the rhythm calling out your name
This party’s fire, it’s never gonna be the same
The piano’s playing that sweet montuno sound
We’re moving bodies all across the ground
Harun, my love, you’re looking sharp tonight
Everything about this feeling is just right
Happy birthday, Harun, let the trumpets blow
We’re dancing salsa, watch the rhythm flow
Happy birthday, Harun, you’re the star today
Let’s keep on dancing, let’s shout it out and sway
Look at the percussion, listen to the bell
We’ve got a story that the music likes to tell
You’re growing older but you’re getting better too
There’s no one else I’d rather dance with, only you
From the barrio streets to the floor so bright
We’re celebrating all throughout the night
Put your hands up, feel the heat inside the beat
With you, my darling, life is looking sweet
Happy birthday, Harun, let the trumpets blow
We’re dancing salsa, watch the rhythm flow
Happy birthday, Harun, you’re the star today
Let’s keep on dancing, let’s shout it out and sway
(Soneo/Improvised Break)
Oye, Harun! Celebrate your life, man!
Look at the brass go, mambo!
Oh, it’s your day, shake it now!
Azúcar! Keep that rhythm strong!
So let the timbales echo through the air
We’ve got a chemistry that’s beyond compare
October ten, a date we’ll never forget
The best birthday party that you’ve had yet
Stay just the way you are, my lovely man
We’re spinning salsa just as fast as we can
Life is a treasure and we’re living it loud
With you, Harun, I’m standing very proud
Happy birthday, Harun, let the trumpets blow
We’re dancing salsa, watch the rhythm flow
Happy birthday, Harun, you’re the star today
Let’s keep on dancing, let’s shout it out and sway
Happy birthday, Harun!
Yeah, keep dancing!
Qué bonito, it’s your day!
Ahí na'má!
