This is the voice of DJ ALLEN
Listen to the sound of the front liners from Chevron Nigeria
DJ Allen, let the music speak DJ Allen let's go
May God bless Chevron Nigeria Limited
To all the workers of the G3,
From swamp to JV, offshore onsure and every other location
We are the front liners facing the hazards
We wake up early under the sun and the rain
Just to make sure we flow the oil
management always tells us we are working as a team
Is it really a team when we are still leaving as if we are not a team?
Chevron, hear our voice, we are pleading
Treat us as human, don't let our spirit decay
We are human beings, we deserve what is fair
What is good for you, let us also share
Don't let us work like elephants and eat like ants
Chevron Nigeria, please give us a good wages because 60years is coming closer
Sixty years is coming closer, still no good house no good car our children are still going to poor school cost of the living is filling our hearts with fear
Our wives go to the same market as yours, you see
We are all Nigerians, living in this economy
Please put yourself in our shoes for a while
We are working so hard just to see a faint smile
We are not third party, we are part of the team
We are asking for more, and we know manement can make it work
Chevron, hear our voice, we are pleading
Treat us as human, don't let our spirit decay
We are human beings, we deserve what is fair
What is good for you, let us also share
Don't let us work like elephants and eat like ants
Chevron Nigeria, please give us a wages
Management, it's not easy for us
We are crying out loud, we are making a fuss
But it's out of necessity, out of the need
To plant a good harvest from the honest seed
Management, please hear the cry of the G3
We are the backbone, let not work like elephant and eat like ant
We stay on the front line through the loss and the gain
But workers are tired of the stagnant pay
We need a new blessing to come our way
So as the anniversary date draws near
Let this be the year that you wipe away every tear
Chevron, remember who keeps the wheels spinning round
Let the joy of the workers in the office and the filled be found
Chevron, hear our voice, we are pleading
Treat us as one of you, don't let our spirit decay
We are human beings, we deserve what is fair
What is good for you, let us also share
Don't let us work like elephants and eat like ants
Chevron Nigeria, please give us a good wages
Chevron Nigeria, do the right thing
Hear our cry, oh, hear our cry
Sixty years is coming closer, let our wages fly up
Chai! 60years is coming closer hmmmmm this is the voice of DJ ALLEN
