Nna!
Hear
the
voice
of
the
Historical
Society
of
Nigeria!
We
are
talking
progress,
we
are
talking
legacy!
Oya!
Let
the
music
play!
Our
former
Vice
President
from
the
South-South
stood
tall,
He
helped
us
strengthen
the
study,
he
answered
the
call.
To
uphold
the
history
of
our
great
Nigerian
nation,
And
vigorously
support
every
scholarly
vibration. (
Guitar
solo)
We
need
a
leader
who
knows
the
path
we
must
tread,
With
deep
historical
wisdom,
by
the
scholars
he
is
led.
He
knows
the
value
of
the
archives
and
the
page,
Taking
our
story
to
a
brand
new
golden
age!
Professor
David

We

forward
now!
Professor
David
Imbua,
with
you
we
can
rise,
Reclaim
Nigerian
history
right
before
our
eyes.
Away
from
colonial
shadows,
we
find
our
own
light,
And
train
our
historians
to
stand
for
what
is
right.
African-centered
viewpoints,
that
is
the
goal,
Giving
our
students
back
their
very
own
soul.
Chop
life
for
the
intellect,
keep
the
fire
burning,
Nigeria
is
waiting
for
all
of
this
learning!

Help
us
to
promote
an
enduring
sense
of
history,
Let
the
past
be
the
guide
to
our
destiny.
Create
the
awareness
in
every
single
citizen,
From
the
streets
of
Enugu
to
the
heart
of
the
den.
No
wahala,
the
knowledge
is
power!
This
is
our
time,
this
is
our
hour!
An
experienced
comrade,
a
man
of
the
books,
Look
at
the
progress,
come
take
a
look!
From
the
South
to
the
North,
the
East
to
the
West,
Professor
Imbua
is
put
to
the
test.
He
is
ready
to
serve,
he
is
ready
to
lead,
Planting
the
future,
planting
the
seed.
Omalicha
vision,
for
the
future
of
the
youth,
Speaking
the
history,
speaking
the
truth!
