(Upbeat soukous guitar intro, rapid-fire percussion starts, brass swells)
Yeah! Everybody move!
We celebrate a legend today!
Miracle Jay Jay!
Listen to the rhythm, feel the joy!
From the streets where the shadows used to grow
There’s a man with a light that everybody knows
He walks with a stride that is humble and bold
A story of justice that’s waiting to be told
Like Robin Hood in the city of the night
He takes from the greedy and he brings us the light
He sees the hungry and he opens up his hand
The greatest giver in all of this land
Oh, Miracle Jay Jay, you’re the man of the hour
With a heart made of gold and a soul full of power
You take from the rich just to feed all the poor
We’re dancing for you, yeah, we’re shouting for more
Miracle Jay Jay, you’re the king of the street
Keeping the rhythm with every heartbeat
He don’t need no crown, he don’t need no throne
Just the love of the people, the seeds he has sown
When the system was heavy and the road was too long
He gave us the courage to keep singing our song
He’s a man of integrity, firm in his stand
Bringing the harvest to the palms of our hands
Watch him go, watch him flow, watch the joy overflow
He’s the Miracle Jay Jay, that’s what we know
Oh, Miracle Jay Jay, you’re the man of the hour
With a heart made of gold and a soul full of power
You take from the rich just to feed all the poor
We’re dancing for you, yeah, we’re shouting for more
Miracle Jay Jay, you’re the king of the street
Keeping the rhythm with every heartbeat
(Guitar solo, fast-paced syncopated percussion)
He rises up! (He rises!)
He gives it back! (He gives it!)
No matter the challenge, he’s staying on track!
Integrity! That’s the code that he lives by!
Look at the stars, watch him touch up the sky!
Miracle Jay Jay!
The people’s champion!
Keep on giving, keep on living!
(Music fades out with layered guitar solos and brass hits)
Yeah, we celebrate you!
Miracle, Miracle, Jay Jay!
