(Soft acoustic guitar strumming, steady rhythmic pulse)
Yeah, we gather today to remember.
Veronica Sanga, your light still glows.
Rest easy, sister. Rest easy.
The morning sun hits the window pane
I call your name, but it's not the same
We walked these roads through the heat and dust
Building a life on a sacred trust
I remember the laughter in the quiet hall
You were the one who stood steady and tall
Now the room is hushed, the shadows play
But your spirit guides us through the day
Lala salama, Veronica Sanga
The journey is done, you’ve traveled so far
Lala salama, beneath the bright star
We carry your heart wherever we are
Lala salama, sleep in the peace
May all your worries and struggles now cease
Your hands were kind, your words were true
Every single thing that you tried to do
You gave us strength when the clouds were grey
You turned the darkness to a brighter day
The garden you planted is blooming still
Reflecting the power of your iron will
We look at the sky and we feel your grace
In every memory, we see your face
Lala salama, Veronica Sanga
The journey is done, you’ve traveled so far
Lala salama, beneath the bright star
We carry your heart wherever we are
Lala salama, sleep in the peace
May all your worries and struggles now cease
Time moves forward, the seasons turn
Lessons of love are the ones that we learn
Though you are gone from the physical sight
You are the star in the middle of night
We keep your story, we keep your name
Nothing will ever quite feel the same
But we are grateful for the time you gave
Kindness that lives beyond the grave
Lala salama, Veronica Sanga
The journey is done, you’ve traveled so far
Lala salama, beneath the bright star
We carry your heart wherever we are
Lala salama, sleep in the peace
May all your worries and struggles now cease
The village is quiet, the trees stand tall
Waiting for wisdom to echo and call
You taught us to hold on, to forgive and to mend
To be a neighbor, to be a true friend
We promise to carry the values you set
A legacy built that we won't forget
So sleep now, Veronica, soft in the earth
We celebrate you and your beautiful worth
Lala salama, Veronica Sanga
The journey is done, you’ve traveled so far
Lala salama, beneath the bright star
We carry your heart wherever we are
Lala salama, sleep in the peace
May all your worries and struggles now cease
Rest now, sleep tight
Veronica Sanga, into the light
Lala salama, lala salama
We will remember you always
Always.
