(Verse 1)
It’s more than just the grit to hold the line,
Or pushing through the limits of the mind.
It’s not a trial where we grit our teeth,
And hide the heavy burdens underneath.
For staying true is not a bitter test,
Of physical endurance at its best.
(Chorus)
It is a gift of charity and grace,
A joyous quest within a holy place.
We’re pressing forward, walking in His light,
With faith in Jesus Christ to guide the night.
To trust Him fully, learning to receive
The healing power when we just believe.
(Verse 2)
A gradual process, unfolding day by day,
As He transforms us on this narrow way.
With every step, we look into His eyes,
And see the world with clear, spiritual eyes.
Our love grows deeper, stronger than before,
As we rely upon the Lord much more.
(Chorus)
It is a gift of charity and grace,
A joyous quest within a holy place.
We’re pressing forward, walking in His light,
With faith in Jesus Christ to guide the night.
To trust Him fully, learning to receive
The healing power when we just believe.
(Bridge)
His grace empowers when our strength is gone,
His tender mercy carries us to dawn.
And in the middle of the mortal strife,
He pours out joy into a changing life.
(Outro)
An endless joy, so great and so profound,
Where peace and everlasting love abound.
To look like Him, to endure until the end,
Walking the pathway with our Savior, King, and Friend.
