Everybody, listen to the story
From the hills to the station, we hold the line
Eii, let’s talk about the truth today
Saffa Bockarie on this, let go
Early morning sun rising over the town
The Chiefdom police putting their uniform down
Five hundred Leone is all that they see
How can a man survive when the cost is not free?
It is lower than the minimum wage that the law has defined
Leaving the protectors of the Chiefdoms' peace way behind
They stand in the heat, they stand in the rain
Working so hard just to swallow the pain
Oh, Mr President listen to the call, keep the honor in sight
Five hundred Leone is too small to make a Chiefdom police future bright
We need a better salary for the ones who guard the Chiefdom Authorities run the affairs of the Chiefdom Administration
Give the Chiefdom police what they’re asking for
Oyiwa! Let the justice reflect in the pay
Keep the peace strong in our chiefdoms every day
From the rural roads to the quiet Chiefdoms in all the District in Sierra Leone.
They work every hour, they work until late
Wonim? They carry the weight of the Chiefdoms bye laws on their back
But the salary they get is a hole in the sack
We want to see the government open their eyes
To help the brave men where the true value lies
They deserve a raise that is fair and is right
To keep every home and every village in light
Oh, Mr President listen to the call, keep the honor in sight
Five hundred Leone is too small to make the future bright
We need a better wage for the ones who guard the door
Give the Chiefdom police what they’re asking for
Chale! Let the justice reflect in the pay
Keep the peace strong in our land every day
A happy worker is a pillar of strength
To serve the nation, they will go to any length
But balance the scale, let the minimum rise
Look at the struggles with sympathetic eyes
Yoo! It’s time for a change, let us do what is fair
Show the brave officers that we truly care
So raise the horn, let the melody flow
Let the decision makers watch how we grow
Respect for the uniform, respect for the man
Let’s build up the country as much as we can
No more five hundred, let’s upgrade the deal
Let the Chiefdom police know the love is real
Ah ah! With a better wage, the service will soar
Bringing the peace that we all lookin' for
Oh, Mr President, listen to the call, keep the honour in sight
Five hundred Leone is too small to make the future bright
We need a better wage for the ones who guard the door
Give the Chiefdom police what they’re asking for
Chop life! Let the justice reflect in the pay
Keep the peace strong in our land every day
Yeah, let the message ring loud and clear
Justice for the ones who keep away the fear
Oyiwa, hear the call today
Better pay for the police, that is the way
Peace and progress for us all, chale!
