(Hallelujah)
He is the light, the dawn of our hope
(Praise Him)
Before the world was framed or time began
You spoke the word and light broke through the dark
From the creative breath of the great I Am
You carved the brilliance in the human heart
A pillar of cloud to lead us through the day
A pillar of fire to guide us through the night
Upon Mount Sinai where the thunder stayed
You showed the nations Your eternal light
You are the Light of the World, shine on us now
Glory reflects from the mercy seat above
In every gem of thought, in every vow
We see the radiance of Your perfect love
Yes Lord, shine on
Thank You Jesus
In the Tabernacle, the glow was constant there
Reflecting holiness we cannot ignore
Great thinkers catch the spark within the air
Reflecting the Sun of Righteousness evermore
You came for judgment so the blind might see
The scales fall off when You draw near to us
You set the captives of the darkness free
With the power found in the heart of Christ
You are the Light of the World, shine on us now
Glory reflects from the mercy seat above
In every gem of thought, in every vow
We see the radiance of Your perfect love
Yes Lord, shine on
Thank You Jesus
You opened eyes that never saw the dawn
Turning the shadows into morning rays
Though the Pharisees remain in darkness gone
We walk in brilliance for the rest of our days
(Amen)
The miracle of sight, the spiritual grace
You heal the soul that’s been blinded by the sin
We lift our eyes to look upon Your face
And let the glorious light flow from within
Your word is true, a lantern for our feet
Driving the gloom from every hidden place
We stand before the mercy seat complete
Bathed in the ocean of Your saving grace
You are the Light of the World, shine on us now
Glory reflects from the mercy seat above
In every gem of thought, in every vow
We see the radiance of Your perfect love
Yes Lord, shine on
Thank You Jesus
You are the light, the light of the world
(Praise Him)
Shine in our hearts forevermore
(Glory)
You are the light, yes You are
Amen.
