Oh, heaven’s choir is singing your name today
Gloria, we miss you, yes Lord
October 19th, the day the world grew cold
A story ended, a hand we had to hold
My sister Gloria, you’ve gone to take your rest
In the Father’s garden, you are truly blessed
Though our hearts are breaking, though the tears fall down
You’ve traded your cross for a golden crown
Thank You Jesus, for the time we shared
Gloria, we love you, resting in the light
Beyond the shadows of this lonely night
Gloria, you’re soaring with the morning star
We carry your spirit everywhere we are
Glory to the Highest, peace for you at last
Aching hearts remember, holding onto the past
Alhaji is weeping, he’s crying out your name
The hearth is cold now, put out is the flame
Mother Cynthia Johnson, she bows her head in prayer
Asking the Savior to keep you in His care
Tenneh Kabba misses the sister she once knew
And our hearts are heavy, missing all of you
Praise Him in the valley, even when we mourn
Gloria, we love you, resting in the light
Beyond the shadows of this lonely night
Gloria, you’re soaring with the morning star
We carry your spirit everywhere we are
Glory to the Highest, peace for you at last
Aching hearts remember, holding onto the past
Brother Ainoh Krio Papay, feeling so much pain
Samuel Johnson stands in the pouring rain
But there’s a promise, we will meet again
In the holy city, past the gates of sin
Yes Lord, we’ll see you again
Your legacy of kindness, a fragrance in the air
We feel your presence lingering everywhere
Gloria, the journey was long but you are home
No more wandering, no more fear to roam
Rest now, sister, sleep in perfect peace
Until the day all our sorrows cease
Amen, amen
Gloria, we love you, resting in the light
Beyond the shadows of this lonely night
Gloria, you’re soaring with the morning star
We carry your spirit everywhere we are
Glory to the Highest, peace for you at last
Aching hearts remember, holding onto the past
Gloria, we love you
Until we meet again, sleep well
Rest in peace, dear sister
Gloria, goodbye for now
Thank You Jesus, Amen.
