(Shekainah Sean... My Sheyy girl)
(Seventeen years ago, God blessed your mummy and me with you)
(Watching you grow has been the greatest joy of our lives)
(Today, we celebrate you! Aweh!)
Seventeen years ago, you came into our world
A blessing in our arms, our precious little girl
Your tiny hands held more than we could see
A lifetime full of love, a gift to our family
We’ve watched you learn, we’ve watched you grow
Discovering the gifts God planted in your soul
And here you stand, a new door opening wide
With Mummy’s love and Daddy by your side
Every little step has brought you here
Through the lessons, through the laughter, through the tears
We thank the Lord for all you’ve grown to be
Now dance, our girl—there’s so much more to see! (Sharp sharp!)
Shine your shine, Shekainah Sean
The world is waiting, the day has dawned
You’re seventeen, you’re bright and free
Our greatest love, our legacy
Shine your shine, let your spirit glow
With every rhythm, let the music flow
(Yebo, let’s go!)
Look at the horizon, see the golden light
You’re built to win, you’re ready for the height
No mountain is too high, no dream is out of reach
Just hold onto the lessons that the heavens teach
Your smile is like the sun upon the township street
You keep the rhythm steady, you keep the vibe so sweet
We’re walking with you, through the highs and lows
Watching how the Shekainah story grows
Shine your shine, Shekainah Sean
The world is waiting, the day has dawned
You’re seventeen, you’re bright and free
Our greatest love, our legacy
Shine your shine, let your spirit glow
With every rhythm, let the music flow
(Eish, she’s glowing!)
Fly high, my child, into the blue
The grace of God is over you
(Asambe!)
With every beat, with every sound
You’re lifting spirits all around
Seventeen years, a perfect start
You carry love inside your heart
So keep on dancing, let the log drum play
It’s your celebration, it’s your special day
From your first steps to the woman you become
We’re cheering louder than a rhythmic drum
You’re our Shekainah, pure and true
There’s no one else on earth just like you
(Sho!)
Shine your shine, Shekainah Sean
The world is waiting, the day has dawned
You’re seventeen, you’re bright and free
Our greatest love, our legacy
Shine your shine, let your spirit glow
With every rhythm, let the music flow
Shine on, Shekainah Sean
We’re so proud of you, our girl
Keep shining, keep growing
(Yebo, we celebrate you today)
(Sharp sharp! Asambe!)
