Oh, we lift our hearts in praise today
For a life that shines in every way
We gather here as family, the Ndong Ondo name
To honor one whose spirit lit a holy flame
Okome Enganga Marlyse, a daughter of the light
You walked in grace through every day and through the night
From the home you built with love, to the wisdom you bestowed
You carried every burden on this winding road
(Hallelujah! Praise Him!)
Oh Marlyse, your legacy is etched in golden sand
A mother, wife, and grandmother, held by God’s own hand
We celebrate your laughter, we celebrate your soul
You made our broken pieces, Lord, You made us whole
Yes Lord, we honor you, Marlyse, our sister and our guide
With the love of Jesus Christ forever by your side
(Glory! Amen!)
To the family of Mezeme MBA Russel, we stand tall
Remembering the woman who answered every call
You were a pillar of the faith, a beacon in the storm
You kept the fire burning and you kept the spirit warm
Grandmother to the young ones, a sister to us all
You never let your standard, no, you never let it fall
(Thank You Jesus!
(Glory! Amen!)
Though the seasons change and shadows may appear
We hold onto the promise that the Comforter is near
For Marlyse lives in glory, in a home that’s made of gold
Her story is a blessing that will never, ever grow old
(Yes Lord! Glory! Hallelujah!)
So we lift our hands together, the Ndong Ondo kin
To celebrate the journey and the crown that she did win
To Marlyse, we say thank you for the life you lived so true
May your peace reside forever in the things you used to do
We walk in your example, we walk within your light
Until we meet in Heaven, in that city shining bright
(Amen! Hallelujah!)
We love you Marlyse, rest in perfect peace
Your praise to the Father will never, ever cease
Oh, we honor you today, Marlyse Okome Enganga
Rest in glory, amen, amen.
(Praise Him! Yes Lord! Amen!)
