(Oya, ginger!)
It's a big day, ehen!
Umar Faruq, my guy
Ummulkairi, fine girl
Let's go, no dulling!
Sun is rising, feeling so bright
Birthday vibes, we set the mood right
Umar Faruq, you are the king of the day
Walking with the style, you know the way
Ummulkairi, beauty like the morning star
Shining so bright, reaching out so far
See the jollof, see the cake on the tray
Today is your special, happy birthday!
Omo, celebrate, e choke today!
Umar Faruq and Ummulkairi, hip-hip-hooray!
From the morning sun to the moonlight glow
This kind of love, everybody must know
Umar Faruq, you’re the star in the sky
Ummulkairi, you’re the one flying high
Happy birthday, let the bass drum play
Only good vibes coming your way!
Lulu and Shalele, names that we praise
Blessings falling down like the desert haze
Umar, you be legend, keep the fire burning
Ummulkairi, world is just turning for you
No wahala, keep the smile on your face
Running the race, setting the pace
See your friends gather, shouting your name
Nothing in this life will ever be the same!
(Hey! Hey!)
Raise your glass to the sky
Umar, Ummulkairi, watch them fly
From the city streets to the top of the world
New banners of greatness are now unfurled
(Shey you dey whine me?)
No, we celebrate today!
Omo, celebrate, e choke today!
Umar Faruq and Ummulkairi, hip-hip-hooray!
From the morning sun to the moonlight glow
This kind of love, everybody must know
Umar Faruq, you’re the star in the sky
Ummulkairi, you’re the one flying high
Happy birthday, let the bass drum play
Only good vibes coming your way!
Ehen, big love to the family!
Umar Faruq, you’re the best!
Ummulkairi, shine on, my girl!
No dulling, it’s your season!
(E choke!)
Happy birthday, e don do!
