(Guitar fading in slowly)
Oh, Adesuwa, the light is fading low
Nna, the echoes of your laughter remain
I walk the streets of Onitsha tonight
Thinking of the days when the table was full
You were the fire, the heart of the home
Big Pot, your essence never loses its pull
I remember the meals, the joy, the life
But now the silence is heavy like rain
I search for your face in the crowd of the day
But only the shadows reflect all the pain
Goodbye is all I can say to you now, Big Pot
Your memory is a garden that will never dry, ooooo
Lawson is here, keeping the flame burning bright
Big Pot, oh Big Pot, we are missing you tonight
They say that heaven needed a queen
To gather the stars and keep them aligned
But down here on earth, the void is so deep
A treasure so golden, so hard to find
Omalicha, you gave us your heart
You gave us the truth in every single word
Now I look to the sky when I’m feeling apart
And hope that my whisper of love can be heard
Goodbye is all I can say to you now, Big Pot
Your memory is a garden that will never dry, ooooo
Lawson is here, keeping the flame burning bright
Big Pot, oh Big Pot, we are missing you tonight
Chai! The road is long and the sun is setting
But your legacy, Big Pot, it’s not for forgetting
Never turn your back, keep your head to the sky
Even when the teardrops fall from the eye
We celebrate the time that we shared
Every moment was precious, a gift from above
You taught us to live with the weight of our dreams
You taught us the meaning of unconditional love
I walk with your spirit, I carry your name
In every conversation, in every sweet song
Though you are resting in places unseen
In this heart of mine, you forever belong
Goodbye is all I can say to you now, Big Pot
Your memory is a garden that will never dry, ooooo
Lawson is here, keeping the flame burning bright
Big Pot, oh Big Pot, we are missing you tonight
Big Pot, sleep well in the arms of the Lord
Big Pot, your legacy will never dry
We love you always, sleep well
Goodnight, Adesuwa, goodnight.
