(Ayy, yoh)
Joshua, my son, listen to your father
This is a prayer, from my heart to yours
Ooh, yeah, let the heavens open wide
My son Joshua, I lift you up to the throne
Every step you take, you never walk alone
Whatever you touch, I declare it’s established now
By the grace of God, to you the nations will bow
I see the light, I see the path that you tread
With blessings overflowing upon your head
Joshua, you are my blessing, you are my pride
With the spirit of the Lord standing right by your side
Anything you touch shall bloom like the morning dew
I pray for the greatness that God has placed in you
Oh, Joshua, you’re the next skin, the next generation
A blessing to the people, to every single nation
Whatever I couldn't reach, I pray you will attain
In the sunshine of your life, you’ll never feel the rain
Everything I have, I offer as a seed for you
May the favor of the Most High be forever true
(Ayy, yoh)
Walk in your purpose, don't let the fire die
You were born to soar, you were born to fly
Joshua, you are my blessing, you are my pride
With the spirit of the Lord standing right by your side
Anything you touch shall bloom like the morning dew
I pray for the greatness that God has placed in you
Oh, Joshua, you’re the next skin, the next generation
A blessing to the people, to every single nation
Greater works than mine, you are going to see
You’re the answered prayer, you’re the victory
From the Copperbelt to the ends of the earth
I thank the Lord for the day of your birth
Joshua, you are my blessing, you are my pride
With the spirit of the Lord standing right by your side
Anything you touch shall bloom like the morning dew
I pray for the greatness that God has placed in you
Oh, Joshua, you’re the next skin, the next generation
A blessing to the people, to every single nation
Yeah, you are the blessing
Joshua, my son, you are the greatness
(Ayy, yoh)
Go forth and shine, the world is waiting for you
Blessings, my son, blessings
