Alhamdulillah, for a father's love
Adayi Salawu, watching from above
Adayi Salawu Momoh, ya Allah
You toiled with your hands, cared for all you saw
Lover of knowledge, believer in education
Your prayers still echo through every generation
You saw the future, Prophet-like vision clear
Said "After Sunday Ododo, Hajara will be here"
SubhanAllah! Your words came to be
Professor Hajara Momoh, glory to the Most High, glory to He
Adayi, Adayi, your legacy lives on
In every book we read, in every dawn
Hajia Amina Dupe, she misses you so
We all miss you, Baba, more than you'll know. Eyiwu aturayi, daddy Eyiwu aturayi
May Allah grant you Jannah, eternal rest
Adayi Salawu, you gave us your best
Alhamdulillah! Alhamdulillah!
Adayi, you're forever in our hearts, ya Allah
The whole family celebrates, tears of joy we cry
Two professors now, reaching for the sky
Your prayers were seeds planted deep in the ground
Now we harvest blessings, SubhanAllah, look what we've found
You foresaw this day, through Allah's guiding light
Hajara's achievement makes your memory bright
Find favour before God, rest in perfect peace
Your struggles are over, your rewards will never cease
Mashallah!
Adayi, Adayi, your legacy lives on
In every book we read, in every dawn
Hajia Amina Dupe, she misses you so
We all miss you, Baba, more than you'll know
May Allah grant you Jannah, eternal rest
Adayi Salawu, you gave us your best
Alhamdulillah! Alhamdulillah!
Adayi, you're forever in our hearts, ya Allah
Rest in perfect peace, Adayi
Your legacy shines bright, ya rabb
Ameen, ameen, ameen
Professor Sunday Ododo fondly remembers you Daddy, we all do.
