Yeah…
Domi people, make we gather at ST PATRICK Catholic Church, Domi- Atomic.
Family, Children, friends, former workers, everybody mourning you.
This is a tribute to a man who walked his journey with dignity.
Born January 1st, 1960 — New Year's Day!
(New Year! New life!)
John Quarshie Attigah Junior - FANTHOMAS
(John Quarshie!)
From Domi to Lagos back at Legon, his earthly assignment was complete.
(Assignment complete!)
January morning, nineteen-sixty
A New Year child came into this world
Domi Anglican Primary, that's where the young man started his journey.
Atomic L / A Middle School, learning the lessons, building his future.
With every step he climbed, he never looked back, never went astray
Oh yeah, we celebrate the man today for his hard work.
Rise up, feel the spirit moving in the air around you.
John Quarshie Attigah Junior , his name is everywhere
Oh, John Quarshie Attigah Junior, a life well lived, a legacy strong
In the rhythm of the heart, we carry you along to the cementary at Domi puom.
From the sunrise in Domi to the setting sun
Your work is finished, your race is won
(One love!)
We celebrate the life of the great John Quarshie
(Jah bless!)
Ras Kuukuu let the music play, let the spirit be free
From Ghana to Nigeria, across borders he traveled fast
Building up his family, memories that are meant to last
He showed us kindness, discipline he showed us truth in every word he spoke
A foundation made of granite that would never ever break
Sunday, September twenty-seventh, that was the final day
He laid his burden down and peacefully he sailed away
(Easy now!)
We remember the laughter, we remember the pride
With John Quarshie Attigah Junior always by our side
Oh, John Quarshie Attigah, a life well lived, a legacy strong
In the rhythm of the heart, we carry you along
From the sunrise in Domi to the setting sun
Your work is finished, your race is won
(One love!)
We celebrate the life of the great John Quarshie
(Jah bless!)
Let the music play, let the spirit be free
Though the physical is gone, the echo still remains
In the streets of Domi, in the sunshine and the rain
He taught us how to stand, he taught us how to be
To live in unity and always keep the spirit free
Yeah, feel the heartbeat of the rhythm, feel the heat
John Quarshie Attigah, the legend is complete
So let the drums roll out, let the horns begin to blow
We honor every moment, we honor every glow
A pillar of the community, a brother and a friend
A story of a righteous man, a story without end
He walked with grace, he lived with heart, he stood for what is right
John Quarshie Attigah, you are shining in the light
(Oh, yeah!)
Oh, John Quarshie Attigah, a life well lived, a legacy strong
