Nna! Today na the day!
Oya, let the music play for my king!
Sun is rising bright over the city skyline today
We gather round to celebrate in such a special way
Jide my darling, look at how the years have gone so fast
Building up a legacy, a love that's built to last
From the morning breeze to the evening glowing light
We are here to toast to you and hold you extra tight
Chai! You are the rock that keeps this family standing tall
Whenever we are weary, you are there to break the fall
Happy birthday Jide, gallant man
We celebrate your life the best way that we can
From your children Dara, Toni, and little Tire too
We shout it to the heavens, we are all so proud of you
Happy birthday Jide, you are our shining star
No matter where we go, you are the best by far
Chop life today, let the palm wine flow like rain
You take away the sorrow and you heal away the pain
Look at Dara smiling, she knows you are the best
And Toni says you're cooler than all the rest of the rest
Little Tire running around with joy inside his eyes
They look at you, my love, and see a hero in disguise
Omo! The way you work and how you hustle for the crew
It gives us all the strength to keep on pushing through
May God bless your ways and keep your spirit ever bright
May your path be paved with gold from morning until night
Happy birthday Jide gallant man
We celebrate your life the best way that we can
From your children Dara, Toni, and little Tire too
We shout it to the heavens, we are all so proud of you
Happy birthday Jide, you are our shining star
No matter where we go, you are the best by far
Chop life today, let the palm wine flow like rain
You take away the sorrow and you heal away the pain
Olajide, my love, my partner and my friend
Our journey together is one that has no end
Through the ups and downs, you remain the steady hand
The finest gentleman that grace this lovely land
Ah ah! We toast to you!
So let the horns play loud, let the rhythm take control
Jide, you bring the melody deep inside my soul
Eat your isi ewu, sit back and take your rest
Today we serve you royalty, you pass every single test
From Enugu to Lagos, let the whole world hear the sound
That the greatest man on earth is safe and sound and found
Happy birthday Jide, gallant man
We celebrate your life the best way that we can
From your children Dara, Toni, and little Tire too
We shout it to the heavens, we are all so proud of you
Happy birthday Jide, you are our shining star
No matter where we go, you are the best by far
Chop life today, let the palm wine flow like rain
You take away the sorrow and you heal away the pain
Happy birthday Jide, my Olajide
Your love is a light that will never ever fade
Nna! Chop life!
We love you today and forevermore.
