(Upbeat drum fill, steady reggae bass line kicks in)
Yeah, we give thanks today
A special day for a special soul
Let the music play, let the spirit rise
Blessings fall like rain, oh yes
Today the sun is shining brighter in the sky
For a princess with a heart that’s soaring high
Doris Abokyi, you are a precious light
Guiding us through the day and through the night
We thank the Father for the gift you are
A shining soul, you are our morning star
From the moment you were born unto this day
We watch the Lord guide you along the way
Oh, happy birthday, Princess Doris, shout it loud
With love and favor, you are standing in the cloud
Of divine protection and the grace so sweet
We dance for joy with rhythm in our feet
May the new year bring you testimonies grand
With health and wealth held firmly in your hand
Blessings upon blessings, let the anthem ring
For you’re a daughter of the living King
Sister, wife, and daughter, you bring so much peace
May your harvest in this season just increase
No weapon formed against you shall ever stand
As you walk faithfully across this promised land
I pray for wisdom that will never fade away
I pray for strength to face every single day
Your laughter echoes like a melody of grace
We see the beauty of the Lord upon your face
Oh, happy birthday, Princess Doris, shout it loud
With love and favor, you are standing in the cloud
Of divine protection and the grace so sweet
We dance for joy with rhythm in our feet
May the new year bring you testimonies grand
With health and wealth held firmly in your hand
Blessings upon blessings, let the anthem ring
For you’re a daughter of the living King
Divine favor, it is flowing like a stream
Living out the beauty of a heavenly dream
No sickness, no sorrow, only joy in your heart
This is a brand new chapter, a wonderful start
Every year is better, every step is aligned
With the destiny that the Creator designed
Oh, happy birthday, Princess Doris, shout it loud
With love and favor, you are standing in the cloud
Of divine protection and the grace so sweet
We dance for joy with rhythm in our feet
May the new year bring you testimonies grand
With health and wealth held firmly in your hand
Blessings upon blessings, let the anthem ring
For you’re a daughter of the living King
Happy birthday, Doris
We celebrate your life today
Keep on shining, keep on glowing
The Lord is with you always
Yeah, walk in favor
Walk in peace, sister
Blessings, blessings, blessings
(Fade out with steady bass and bright guitar skank)
