Yeah, ay! Big man ting, you know?
It’s the struggle, fam, still!
Naka Nepa, why you doing us like this?
Wagwan, Naka Nepa, tell me what is the plan?
We steady asking questions, don’t you understand?
For many months now, the city is dark
No light in the night, we’re missing the spark
Two days of light, then three days of gloom
We sitting in the heat inside of our room
It’s a long ting, bro, we begging you please
We want the power back, let us live at our ease
Naka Nepa, tell me what we done wrong?
Why you keeping us in the dark for so long?
7 units shared, yeah, we keeping the score
Otukpo got 4, Taraku got 3, but we want more!
Gwer West got none, fam, that’s a real disgrace
We looking for the light all over the place
Naka Nepa, yeah, we need you to shine
Give us the power back, make everything fine!
We have quarreled, we have shouted, no response at all
We waiting for the stakeholders to pick up the call
Where are the leaders? Come and explain
We tired of the struggle, we tired of the pain
No water, no road, and the light is a ghost
We feeling like we’re stranded on a lonely coast
This ain't the life, man, it’s a heavy load
We need the energy back on the road
Naka Nepa, tell me what we done wrong?
Why you keeping us in the dark for so long?
7 units shared, yeah, we keeping the score
Otukpo got 4, Taraku got 3, but we want more!
Gwer West got none, fam, that’s a real disgrace
We looking for the light all over the place
Naka Nepa, yeah, we need you to shine
Give us the power back, make everything fine!
Big man ting, we need a change of pace
Put some respect on the people in this place
No more games, no more acting like you’re blind
Leave the darkness and the struggle behind
Yeah, still!
We want a better day, we want a better vibe
We just want the light for all of the tribe
Don’t be gassed, man, just do what is right
Bring the connection back into the night
It’s a big ting, yeah, we shouting it loud
Waiting for the sun to break through the cloud
Naka Nepa, ay, we watching your move
We need a system that’s finally smooth
Naka Nepa, tell me what we done wrong?
Why you keeping us in the dark for so long?
7 units shared, yeah, we keeping the score
Otukpo got 4, Taraku got 3, but we want more!
Gwer West got none, fam, that’s a real disgrace
We looking for the light all over the place
Naka Nepa, yeah, we need you to shine
Give us the power back, make everything fine!
Yeah, fix it up, fam!
No more darkness, just light
Big man ting, still!
Naka Nepa, are you listening?
Yeah, rrr!
