MALE LEAD — almost whispering:
Hoho… hoho… hoo hoo…
Hmmmmm…
Hahaha…
PRAISE…
Wherever you are…
God has not forgotten you.
---
MALE LEAD:
THE PRAISE OF GOD IS FOLLOWING YOU.
ANYWHERE YOU GO IN THIS WORLD,
THE PRAISE OF GOD IS WITH YOU—
MORNING, NIGHT, EVENING,
FOREVER MORE.
NOBODY CAN QUESTION
THE PRAISE OF GOD IN THIS LIFE,
WHETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT.
ADULT CHOIR:
PRAISE…
PRAISE…
God is calling you home…
MALE LEAD:
Hmmmm…
Ummmm…
Ummmm…
😭🪈🎻
---
MALE LEAD:
PRAISE…
I remember the challenges
that you faced in the church.
You allowed the devil
to deceive you, PRAISE.
Whenever you sang in the church,
the Spirit of God would come down
and overflow.
Everybody could feel it.
Everybody in the church
always wanted PRAISE to sing
because she had a beautiful voice.
She was a devoted choir member
in the church.
ADULT CHOIR — softly:
Oh PRAISE…
Oh PRAISE…
---
MALE LEAD:
One day…
Something happened.
People started talking about PRAISE.
They said she was having affairs
with church members,
choir guys, and sound engineers.
They were spreading rumors about her
and saying she was sleeping
with many men.
Oh PRAISE… 😭
One day, they called PRAISE out.
There was a deacon in the church
who was looking for a way
to have sex with PRAISE…
But PRAISE did not allow the deacon
to have sex with her.
The deacon began attacking
PRAISE'S character in the church.
He was talking to the pastor,
saying they should suspend her.
They should call her out
in the church.
---
MALE LEAD — spoken/sung emotionally:
Then they announced
that there would be a general meeting.
They called PRAISE out.
The pastor said that she was pregnant
and that she had gone
to have an abortion.
Why would you do that?
Why would you believe
what you did not know?
They gave her
a suspension from the church.
Even some of the men in the church
confessed after she was suspended,
saying that she still went out
and slept with different men.
---
MALE LEAD:
At the end of the day…
The anointing that PRAISE had
in the church
began to die down.
Everything changed.
The voice that once lifted people…
The voice that once brought worship…
The voice that once filled
the church with praise…
Everything changed.
PRAISE…
Where are you? 😭
PRAISE…
Wherever you are…
I hope you are still serving God.
---
MALE LEAD:
I pray that God
will have mercy on you.
Go back to God.
My God will not allow you to perish.
ADULT CHOIR — very softly:
Have mercy…
Have mercy…
Have mercy, Lord…
MALE LEAD:
GOD OF MERCY…
CHOIR:
HAVE MERCY…
MALE LEAD:
GOD OF MERCY…
CHOIR:
HAVE MERCY…
MALE LEAD:
Hmmmmm…
😭
---
MALE LEAD:
PRAISE…
COME BACK TO GOD.
ADULT CHOIR:
Come back home…
Come back home…
MALE LEAD:
There is still mercy.
CHOIR:
There is still mercy…
MALE LEAD:
There is still hope.
CHOIR:
There is still hope…
MALE LEAD:
There is still a way back home.
CHOIR:
There is still a way back home…
---
MALE LEAD — almost crying:
PRAISE…
Wherever you are…
Come back to God.
He is still waiting for you.
There is mercy…
There is hope…
There is a way back home.
MALE LEAD + ADULT CHOIR:
GOD OF MERCY…
HAVE MERCY…
GOD OF MERCY…
HAVE MERCY…
😭🙏
