[male
vocals]
[Intro] Hmm
hmm,
Hmm
hmm
hmm
[Verse 1] You
stood
behind
the
pulpit,
mother
in
the
Word
With
gentle
voice
you
taught
us
what
our
hearts
had
heard "
Let
go
of
anger,
let
bitterness
depart"
You
planted
seeds
of
mercy
deep
in
every
heart
Oh,
we
hear
you
whispering
still
Guided
by
the
Father's
holy
will
[Chorus] Oh
Rev
Mwenya
Chilombo ,
you
taught
us
to
forgive
As
Christ
forgave
us,
so
we
must
live
To
love
one
another,
with
a
pure
heart
That
was
your
message,
your
heavenly
art
Your
legacy
will
never
die
Oh,
glory
to
the
light
you
shared,
thank
You
Jesus
[Verse 2] You
never
held
a
grudge,
you
showed
us
grace
Though
your
voice
is
silent
in
this
place
Your
sermon
lives
on
in
our
embrace
Every
act
of
kindness,
every
prayer
you
prayed
Is
a
foundation
stone
that
will
never
fade
Praise
Him
for
the
path
you
showed
[Chorus] Oh
Mrs
Hamwinga,
you
taught
us
to
forgive
As
Christ
forgave
us,
so
we
must
live
To
love
one
another,
with
a
pure
heart
That
was
your
message,
your
heavenly
art
Your
legacy
will
never
die
Hallelujah,
yes
Lord
[Bridge] John
thirteen,
verse
thirty-four
A
new
commandment,
opening
the
door
By
this
shall
all
men
know
we
are
His
own
If
we
love
as
you
have
sown
Yes
Lord,
we
receive
it
[Verse 3] So
wipe
away
the
tears,
but
keep
the
fire
bright
Walking
in
the
footsteps,
walking
in
the
light
Forgiveness
is
the
balm,
love
is
the
way
We
carry
your
spirit
through
every
single
day
Amen,
it
is
well
[Chorus] Oh
Mrs
Hamwinga,
you
taught
us
to
forgive
As
Christ
forgave
us,
so
we
must
live
To
love
one
another,
with
a
pure
heart
That
was
your
message,
your
heavenly
art
Your
legacy
will
never
die
Thank
You
Jesus,
praise
Him
[Outro] Your
legacy
will
never
die
We'll
love
one
another,
just
like
you
said
Rest
now
in
glory,
the
words
you
spread
Amen,
amen.
