My Plea
Incandescent streams of choicest praise
To thee alone I humbly raise
Let me thy valiant servant be
That through mortality thy love I’ll forever see
Tender strains of natures love
Bespeak thy love that dwells above
Shouts of thanksgiving lord let my song
Of gratitude to thee belong
On bended knees with broken heart
My burden on thee I humbly cast
Cleanse me, purge me, and circumcise me Lord
And plant my feet on Gospel sod.
