(Oh, hallelujah)
Sixteen years of mercy, thank You Jesus
I look at you and I see the hand of God
Painting colors on the path we’ve trod
Sixteen years of waking by your side
With nothing but the Lord to be our guide
Veronica Ilunga, you’re a treasure found
Where grace and favor always do abound
I thank the Father for the day we met
A debt of love that I can’t pay, and yet...
Oh, Veronica, my heart is singing praise
For the blessing of these sixteen golden days
God’s favor resting on your lovely face
My pillar of strength, my spirit’s resting place
Yes Lord, thank You for this life we share
In answer to a lifetime of our prayer
Through every valley and the mountain high
You’ve kept your faith beneath the open sky
Your wisdom teaches me the way to love
A gentle spirit sent from up above
Veronica Ilunga, precious soul so true
I see the light of heaven shining through
We’ve built this house upon the solid stone
And never once have we been left alone
Oh, Veronica, my heart is singing praise
For the blessing of these sixteen golden days
God’s favor resting on your lovely face
My pillar of strength, my spirit’s resting place
Yes Lord, thank You for this life we share
In answer to a lifetime of our prayer
Glory, glory, look at what the Lord has done
Joined two hearts together, now we’re one
From the start until the journey’s end
My partner, my worship, my dearest friend
(Praise Him, praise Him!)
May the years ahead be filled with holy peace
May the favor on our union never cease
Veronica, I promise at the altar still
To love you always, Lord, it is Your will
Sixteen years is just the opening song
To the life of praise where we belong
Oh, Veronica, my heart is singing praise
For the blessing of these sixteen golden days
God’s favor resting on your lovely face
My pillar of strength, my spirit’s resting place
Yes Lord, thank You for this life we share
In answer to a lifetime of our prayer
Amen, amen, sixteen years of grace
I see God’s beauty in your lovely face
Veronica, I love you, praise Him forevermore
Yes Lord, forevermore
(Hallelujah)
