(Ayy! E choke!)
It's Edrissa Gbassah on the beat
We celebrating greatness today
For the man of God and the princess
Let the music play!
October twenty-seventh is the date
We gather round to celebrate
Pastor Edward Kanneh, man of grace
Putting smiles on every single face
You lead the way with heart of gold
A shepherd brave and uncontrolled
We thank the Lord for all you do
Today we rise to honor you
Oh, it’s a double celebration today
For Pastor Edward, hip-hip-hooray!
And our sweet Edina Rose Kanneh
Shining bright like the light of day
Blessings fall like the rain above
Filled with joy and filled with love
(Ayy!)
Edina Rose, you the morning star
You touch the hearts both near and far
Watching you grow in wisdom’s way
Makes us proud on your special day
Pastor, you hold the vision strong
In the spirit where you truly belong
Two legends born in one fine time
Your legacy is truly sublime
Oh, it’s a double celebration today
For Pastor Edward, hip-hip-hooray!
And our sweet Edina Rose Kanneh
Shining bright like the light of day
Blessings fall like the rain above
Filled with joy and filled with love
From the city streets to the higher ground
Let the praise and the song resound
Kushe to the father, kushe to the child
Keep your spirit running free and wild
(Ayy!)
So we pop the sparkling, let it flow
Watching your favor start to grow
Twenty-seventh is marked in gold
A beautiful story to be told
Pastor, your wisdom lights the path
Edina, you show us the aftermath
Of living life with a heart so true
We celebrate the both of you
Oh, it’s a double celebration today
For Pastor Edward, hip-hip-hooray!
And our sweet Edina Rose Kanneh
Shining bright like the light of day
Blessings fall like the rain above
Filled with joy and filled with love
Double blessings on your head
By the words the pastor said
Edina Rose, keep shining bright
Edrissa Gbassah, we done right!
(Ayy!)
Happy Birthday!
