(Whistle blows, fast percussion kicks in)
Hey! Mulamba Primary, stand up!
We celebrating today, twenty-fourth of October!
Listen to the sound of freedom, yeah!
Sun is rising bright over the Lusaka skies
Twenty-four October, see the joy in our eyes
From the Copperbelt down to the Southern plains
We breaking all the shackles, we breaking all the chains
Mulamba children, raise your voices loud and clear
We honor the heroes, we hold them very dear
Oh, Zambia, our land, our home so free
We celebrate the peace for all to see
Kaunda, Nkumbula, Kapwepwe, we sing your name
Freedom fighters, you set the heart aflame
Zambia, Zambia, forever we will stand
United in our mission, across this beautiful land
(Guitar solo, heavy percussion, crowd chanting: "Zambia! Forward!")
Ndi ifwe, we are the future, see us shine
Walking in the path that you left behind
Unity is strength, that is what we know
Watching our nation, see how we grow
From the classrooms here to the world we go
With the spirit of our fathers, we steal the show
Oh, Zambia, our land, our home so free
We celebrate the peace for all to see
Kaunda, Nkumbula, Kapwepwe, we sing your name
Freedom fighters, you set the heart aflame
Zambia, Zambia, forever we will stand
United in our mission, across this beautiful land
(Call and response: "Who fight for us?" "Freedom fighters!" "Who set us free?" "Our heroes!")
Twenty-twenty-six, the fire still burning bright
Mulamba Primary, we are the guiding light
Peace in our hearts, love in our soul
Zambia our mother, you are our only goal
(Fast rhythmic handclaps and high-pitched whistles)
Raise the flag, green, black, red, and orange gold
Stories of our bravery, forever to be told
Independence Day, let the drums begin to beat
Dancing on the rhythm, moving on our feet
Natotela to the ones who paid the price
We cherish our freedom, it is so very nice
Oh, Zambia, our land, our home so free
We celebrate the peace for all to see
Kaunda, Nkumbula, Kapwepwe, we sing your name
Freedom fighters, you set the heart aflame
Zambia, Zambia, forever we will stand
United in our mission, across this beautiful land
Zambia! (Ayy!)
Forward! (Yoh!)
Mulamba Primary, celebrate the day!
Independence forever!
(Final drum roll and brass stabs)
