[male vocals] So
hang
up
the
chalk,
Mama,
take
your
rest
Among
all
the
teachers,
you
remain
the
best
[Verse 1] Thirty-eight
years
on
the
grind,
no
stopping
From
Gigiri
Girls
to
the
kids,
you
were
popping
Kisayani
to
Sultan
Hamud,
you
led
the
way
Teaching
the
future,
turning
night
into
day
Ngaamba
and
Kyunguni,
you
held
the
crown
As
the
Deputy
Head,
you
never
let
us
down
Thirty-eight
years,
oh
Mama,
you
shine
so
bright
You
fought
for
the
truth
and
you
fought
for
the
light
[Chorus] Oh,
Mwalimu
Anastasia,
we
celebrate
you!
Thirty-eight
years
of
a
dream
coming
true
From
the
blackboard
to
the
hearts
that
you
touch
We
love
you,
Mwalimu,
we
love
you
so
much! (
Sherehe!)
Anastasia
Musaa,
you
lead
the
way
Happy
retirement,
it's
your
victory
day! (
Sherehe!)
Anastasia
Musaa,
you
lead
the
way
Happy
retirement,
it's
your
victory
day!
[Verse 2] Your
wisdom
is
deep
like
the
river
that
flows
You
nurtured
the
talents,
look
how
the
seed
grows
With
patience
and
grace,
you
stood
against
the
tide
With
a
heart
full
of
love,
you
carried
us
with
pride
No
wahala,
no
stress,
just
a
legacy
pure
You
gave
us
the
knowledge
that
will
always
endure
So
hang
up
the
chalk,
Mama,
take
your
rest
Among
all
the
teachers,
you
remain
the
best
[Chorus] Oh,
Mwalimu
Anastasia,
we
celebrate
you!
Thirty-eight
years
of
a
dream
coming
true
From
the
blackboard
to
the
hearts
that
you
touch
We
love
you,
Mwalimu,
we
love
you
so
much! (
Noma!)
Anastasia
Musaa,
you
lead
the
way
Happy
retirement,
it's
your
victory
day! [
Bridge] (
Si
uko!)
Legacy
standing,
forever
and
ever
Your
spirit
of
service,
we
will
never
sever
Peace
and
good
health
as
you
step
to
the
next
stage
Turning
the
chapter,
beginning
the
new
page
[Verse 3] Your
life
is
a
blessing,
a
gift
to
the
land
We
honor
the
work
that
you
did
with
your
hand
From
Kyunguni
to
all,
the
story
is
told
Of
a
teacher
so
brave,
a
spirit
so
bold
So
dance
to
the
rhythm,
let
the
music
take
control
You’
ve
left
a
piece
of
yourself
in
every
single
soul
[Chorus] Oh,
Mwalimu
Anastasia,
we
celebrate
you!
Thirty-eight
years
of
a
dream
coming
true
From
the
blackboard
to
the
hearts
that
you
touch
We
love
you,
Mwalimu,
we
love
you
so
much! (
Ayee!)
Anastasia
Musaa,
you
lead
the
way
Happy
retirement,
it's
your
victory
day! [
Outro] (
Today,
we
celebrate!)
Mama
Anastasia,
live
your
best
life
now (
Sherehe!)
Thirty-eight
years,
take
a
bow
We
love
you,
Mwalimu! (
Manze,
we
love
you!)
Retired
but
never
forgotten!
