(Soft, sustained piano chords)
(Gentle, breathy exhale)
Ooooh no no no nooo
It's so touching, so deep within the soul
We gather here today
To honor the path you walked
Today we celebrate the life of Jeff Pilay
With tears in our eyes, we remember you today
A pillar of strength, a heart made of gold
A story of kindness that never grows old
A great friend to Logan, a brother so dear
Your wisdom and laughter will always be near
To Preggie, to Junior, to Manje and Lulu
Your love was a blessing, faithful and true
You carried the weight with a grace so refined
Leaving the shadows of struggle behind
Jeff, we will miss you, we love you so
Your memory lives wherever we go
Though heaven has called you, our hearts say your name
You may be gone from us, but love stays the same
Yes, love stays the same
A great man in business, respected by all
You gave your best effort, you always stood tall
You mentored the young, you reached for the sky
With a spark in your spirit that never could die
To Declan, your grandson, your love will remain
A beautiful memory through sunshine and rain
Like a lighthouse guiding the ships to the shore
You’re resting in peace, but we’re wanting you more
Jeff, we will miss you, we love you so
Your memory lives wherever we go
Though heaven has called you, our hearts say your name
You may be gone from us, but love stays the same
You touched many hearts, you helped many souls
Your love was a story that time cannot close
It’s written in stars, it’s etched in the stone
In every kindness that you’ve ever shown
We’re walking this valley, but you’re in the light
Beyond all the sorrow, beyond all the night
Jeff, we will miss you, we love you so
Your memory lives wherever we go
Though heaven has called you, our hearts say your name
You may be gone from us, but love stays the same
Rest peacefully, Jeff, your journey is done
Your light will forever shine like the sun
We love you, we miss you, this much is true
Unti, we find peace in the memory of you
(Fade out with soft, fading pads)
Ooooh, shine on
Shine on.
