(Oh, yeah)
(Hallelujah, we remember)
I wake up in the quiet of the morning air
I look beside me, feeling that you're standing there
Though the seasons change and time just rolls along
I find your spirit humming in my favorite song
Kelvin, your laughter was a melody of grace
I’m holding onto sunlight just to see your face
Yes Lord, I’m leaning on the promises you kept
I’m finding peace even when I haven’t slept
Oh Kelvin, you’re the shadow in the golden sun
My journey continues but we’ve only just begun
I’ll carry your love like a mantle on my soul
Thank You Jesus, you’re the one who makes me whole
Kelvin, sleep in peace until we meet again
Beyond the veil, my dearest love, my truest friend
I see the pictures on the shelf of all we planned
I feel the memory of your touch upon my hand
It’s not a final goodbye, just a temporary wait
I’m trusting God to meet me at the pearly gate
Glory, the path is narrow but the light is bright
I’m walking forward through the darkness of the night
Kelvin, you taught me how to stand against the tide
With heaven as your home and love as my guide
Oh Kelvin, you’re the shadow in the golden sun
My journey continues but we’ve only just begun
I’ll carry your love like a mantle on my soul
Thank You Jesus, you’re the one who makes me whole
Kelvin, sleep in peace until we meet again
Beyond the veil, my dearest love, my truest friend
And I know that the choir is singing your name
Up where the glory reflects like a flame
I’m gonna keep on pressing, gonna keep the faith
Resting in the mercy of a higher place
Praise Him, for the moments that we got to share
Praise Him, for the comfort that is everywhere
I’ll be the witness of the goodness we defined
Leaving the shadows of the sorrow far behind
Kelvin, your legacy is written in the stars
You healed the ache and you mended all the scars
Amen, the harvest is coming in the dew
And every single heartbeat brings me closer to you
Oh Kelvin, you’re the shadow in the golden sun
My journey continues but we’ve only just begun
I’ll carry your love like a mantle on my soul
Thank You Jesus, you’re the one who makes me whole
Kelvin, sleep in peace until we meet again
Beyond the veil, my dearest love, my truest friend
I’ll see you soon, Kelvin
(Praise Him, yes Lord)
Just a little while, my love
(Hallelujah, until we meet again)
Safe in His arms, safe in His arms
Amen.
