Nna! Oya, make we celebrate today!
Modupe, shine bright, your day is here!
October eighth, a star was born in light
Modupe Adebanjo, you set the world upright
A Nurse of Honor, with integrity so deep
You watch the helpless while the city is asleep
Chai! Your heart of gold is known to everyone
You walk in grace until the setting of the sun
Happy birthday to you, oh virtuous queen
The kindest soul that I have ever seen
Modupe, your day is blessed by the King
Let the guitars play and the trumpets ring
Oh Modupe, you’re a wonder to behold
With a spirit true and a heart of gold
In the sanctuary, your voice begins to raise
Lifting up the heavens with your worship and your praise
You’re humble and honest, kind in every way
Blessings overflow upon your special day
Omo! You work so hard, you never ever tire
You set the hearts of all your people on fire
Happy birthday to you, oh virtuous queen
The kindest soul that I have ever seen
Modupe, your day is blessed by the King
Let the guitars play and the trumpets ring
Oh Modupe, you’re a wonder to behold
With a spirit true and a heart of gold
Chop life today, let the palm wine flow
Because you are the best that we could ever know
From the morning light until the moon is high
We celebrate our sister beneath the Nigerian sky
So many years of wisdom that you bring to us
Living life so steady, never making any fuss
Omalicha, you are the pride of the land
We hold your legacy with a steady hand
Keep shining on, let the world see your light
Everything you touch turns out perfectly right
Happy birthday to you, oh virtuous queen
The kindest soul that I have ever seen
Modupe, your day is blessed by the King
Let the guitars play and the trumpets ring
Oh Modupe, you’re a wonder to behold
With a spirit true and a heart of gold
Oh Modupe, shine on!
We celebrate you today, nna!
Happy birthday to our queen, the best is yet to come!
Chai! Modupe Adebanjo, you are a star!
