TITLE: THE GENERAL OVERSEER'S TEST
ARTIST: REX OMONIGHO
GENRE: Emotional Nigerian Gospel Storytelling
DURATION: Approximately 3 minutes
TEMPO: 60–65 BPM
MUSIC GENERATOR INSTRUCTION
Create a deeply emotional Nigerian Gospel storytelling song led by a mature, very deep and powerful male bass voice, with a powerful, soaring female soprano answering emotionally. Use expressive piano, orchestral strings, crying violin, cello, flute, warm bass guitar, soft organ, cinematic brass, gentle percussion, and a mighty adult gospel choir. Build gradually toward a dramatic, tearful climax. Clear storytelling, natural Nigerian English, powerful harmonies, no long instrumental introduction. End with emotional humming: “Huuummmm, ooooooh.”
INTRO — DEEP BASS
(Soft piano, crying violin, deep bass humming)
Huuummmm… ooooooh…
My God, my God…
Who can I trust in Your house?
Who is faithful when nobody sees?
VERSE 1 — THE OFFER
(Deep male bass, slow and emotional)
One church member came with a car,
And five billion, a gift from the heart.
The General Overseer said,
“Keep this blessing away from me.
“I have enough; I don't need more.
Give the car and the money to a pastor.
Let us see the heart of a servant,
Let us see who is faithful to God.”
CHORUS — POWERFUL SOPRANO AND CHOIR
(Soprano rises powerfully; choir answers)
SOPRANO: Who is faithful? Who will stand?
CHOIR: God is watching every heart!
BASS: You may deceive the eyes of men,
ALL: But you cannot deceive the Lord!
Huuummmm… ooooooh…
God is watching! God is watching!
VERSE 2 — THE TEMPTATION
(Deep bass; tense strings underneath)
Five million entered the pastor's account,
He told his wife, “I'll return it to church.”
But his wife became angry and cried,
“Why return what has come to us?”
The pastor answered, “Do not worry.
We shall keep three million for ourselves.
I'll tell the General Overseer
That only two million came to me.”
Oh, what a sorrow! What a shame!
He traded his conscience for money and gain.
BRIDGE — THE TRUTH REVEALED
(Powerful soprano, dramatic piano and violin)
BASS: “My son, is there something to tell me?”
PASTOR: “They sent two million to my account.”
SOPRANO: Oh, Lord! The truth has been hidden!
BASS: The Overseer bowed his head and cried:
“My God, who shall lead Your people?
This was a test, but he has failed.
I refused the car and the billions,
Yet greed has made this servant fall.”
FINAL CHORUS — FULL GOSPEL CHOIR
(Powerful bass, soaring soprano, full choir and orchestral climax)
SOPRANO: Choose the truth! Choose the light!
CHOIR: Let your heart be pure before God!
BASS: Money will perish, riches will fade,
But what you do in secret will be revealed!
ALL: Don't sell your soul for silver or gold!
Serve the Lord with a heart of gold!
OUTRO — DEEP BASS AND SOPRANO
(Instruments fade slowly; emotional humming)
Huuummmm… ooooooh…
Lord, search my heart…
Keep me faithful…
Don't let greed destroy my soul…
Huuummmm… ooooooh…
Amen… Amen…
