(Ayy!)
Today we celebrate a legend, oh
Father, hero, the man we know
Peter Lahai Domawa, you the best
Put every other crown to test
October twenty-second, the day the sun did shine
A king was born into this life of mine
Since nineteen-seventy-five you paved the way
Showing us the light every single day
You are our rock, the ground beneath our feet
In this big world, you make our life complete
Oh, Peter Lahai Domawa, our everything
To you, our father, we love to sing
You are the strength, the backbone of this home
No matter where we go, no matter where we roam
You are our pillar, our heart, our greatest guide
With you, dear Father, we have nothing to hide
Daddy, you held our hands when we were small
You were the one who helped us stand so tall
When the road was tough, you cleared the way
Your love is the reason we celebrate today
From your daughters, a gift of pure delight
You shine so bright, our beacon in the night
Oh, Peter Lahai Domawa, our everything
To you, our father, we love to sing
You are the strength, the backbone of this home
No matter where we go, no matter where we roam
You are our pillar, our heart, our greatest guide
With you, dear Father, we have nothing to hide
Strength of a lion, heart of pure gold
Stories of your wisdom never will grow old
We thank God for the life that you have led
With every single prayer and every word you said
(Ayy!)
So raise your glasses high, let the music play
It is the special King’s birthday today
Fifty years of greatness, of love so true
Father, all our blessings are dedicated to you
You are the champion, our number one
Our journey with you has only just begun
Oh, Peter Lahai Domawa, our everything
To you, our father, we love to sing
You are the strength, the backbone of this home
No matter where we go, no matter where we roam
You are our pillar, our heart, our greatest guide
With you, dear Father, we have nothing to hide
Happy birthday, Daddy
Peter Lahai, we love you so
You are our rock, you are our soul
(Ayy!)
Forever our king.
(Celebrate!)
