Seeking His Holiness
Far from the world, its pleasure and its care,
I cast my emptiness before You there.
Beneath Your throne of grace, I softly bow,
In awe of Your majestic presence now.
I seek Your boundless mercy, deep and wide,
To wash away the fear and heal my pride.
Before Your throne, in reverence I fall,
So meekly bowing to the Lord of all.
Oh, let Your bowels of charity decree
That saving grace will find and comfort me.
Take every heavy yoke and burden known,
And let Your perfect love engulf Your own.
To Father, Son, and Spirit, comfort given,
Be endless praise from all in earth and heaven.
As mercy flows to heal the broken soul,
Thy sovereign grace has made the sinner whole.
Amen.
