This song is dedicated to my one and only King Abinoye ephomoghianami
Oh, the day, the day we met
A moment I will never forget
Yeah, praise God
It was a Tuesday afternoon, the sun was shining bright
I didn't know that my whole world was turning toward the light
You walked into the room and everything stood still
It was a divine appointment, surely it was His will
I saw the grace upon your face, a beauty so sincere
I whispered out a prayer and felt the atmosphere clear
Yes Lord, I knew that you were heaven-sent for me
A blessing wrapped in kindness that I finally could see
Oh, the day we met, the day our stories aligned
By His mercy and His favor, leaving all my doubt behind
We’re walking in the promise, building on the solid rock
From the moment that we started, nothing’s gonna stop the clock
Oh, thank You Jesus, for the love that we share
It’s a testimony blooming, answered every single prayer
We spoke about our dreams and where the Lord had led us through
I felt a spirit in your soul, a mirror of the truth
It wasn't just a coincidence, it wasn't just a chance
It was the Father orchestrating this beautiful romance
Glory, I remember how the coffee turned to hours
As faith began to blossom like the early summer flowers
You held your head with confidence, a spirit pure and kind
I knew I found a partner who was always on my mind
Oh, the day we met, the day our stories aligned
By His mercy and His favor, leaving all my doubt behind
We’re walking in the promise, building on the solid rock
From the moment that we started, nothing’s gonna stop the clock
Oh, thank You Jesus, for the love that we share
It’s a testimony blooming, answered every single prayer
Amen, we’re stepping out in faith together
Through every season, through every stormy weather
We’ve got a foundation that will never shake
It’s for the kingdom, and for the promise that we make
Yes Lord, lead us on, keep our hearts aligned
In this love that is true, in this love so divine
Now we’re counting down the days until we say our vows
I’m grateful for the journey, for the where and for the hows
You’re the light of my life, a gift I cherish so
Watching how the goodness of the Lord begins to grow
Praise Him for the meeting, for the love that started there
A legacy of grace is what we’re meant to bear
Oh, the day we met, the day our stories aligned
By His mercy and His favor, leaving all my doubt behind
We’re walking in the promise, building on the solid rock
From the moment that we started, nothing’s gonna stop the clock
Oh, thank You Jesus, for the love that we share
It’s a testimony blooming, answered every single prayer
Yeah, the day we met, it was the start of it all
We’re standing tall, answering the call
Glory to the One who brought us together
Love is forever, love is forever
Amen, Amen.
