(Drum roll, heavy bass groove kicks in)
Yeah, yeah
Listen to the message
From the heart of the people
One spirit, one destiny
Edo South, arise now
We gather here beneath the burning sun
The time for shifting tides has now begun
Edo South, the land that lays the golden eggs
We standing tall upon our own two legs
But look around, the recognition stays so thin
How long must we suffer beneath the skin?
Of the neglect that whispers in the street
It’s time to move our hearts and move our feet
We are the majority, hear the people cry
Looking for a vision in the open sky
Oh, Edo South, let’s stand together now
Unity is strength, we take a solemn vow
Let forgiveness be the center of the stage
Turning over a new and brighter page
One voice, one spirit, one race we share
Let the love replace the bitterness and despair
For we are one family, under the light
Walking together through the darkest night
Honourable Agbonayinma calls upon your soul
To keep the vision steady and to keep it whole
Don't let the hatred fester in the mind
Leave the old grievances far behind
Why should the golden goose be cast away?
We demand justice, we have a word to say
It is the people who can change the narrative
With a spirit that is bold and regenerative
If we unite, there’s nothing we cannot do
Edo South advocacy is here for me and you
Oh, Edo South, let’s stand together now
Unity is strength, we take a solemn vow
Let forgiveness be the center of the stage
Turning over a new and brighter page
One voice, one spirit, one race we share
Let the love replace the bitterness and despair
For we are one family, under the light
Walking together through the darkest night
Though the minority may always have their say
The majority will surely find a better way
Speak against injustice, let the truth be heard
Let love be the action and the golden word
Follow the path that is fair and just
In our collective power, we place our trust
Oh, Edo South, let’s stand together now
Unity is the strength, we take a solemn vow
Let forgiveness be the center of the stage
Turning over a new and brighter page
One voice, one spirit, one race we share
Let the love replace the bitterness and despair
For we are one family, under the light
Walking together through the darkest night
Yeah, for a better tomorrow
Let love lead the way
Edo South, rise up
One voice, one race
Unity is strength
Yeah, we moving forward
Moving forward together
(Fade out with soulful brass)
