Yeah, oh, Aaliyah
It’s your day, baby
October thirtieth, the sun shines a little brighter
Five years ago, you made our world so much lighter
From the moment you arrived, life changed its tune
You’re our morning star, you’re our afternoon moon
Stephen and Nomsa, we’re proud to be the ones
Watching you grow up beneath the golden suns
Aaliyah, Aaliyah, you’re the magic that we see
Turning five today, you’re everything to me
With a heart full of joy and a spirit so bright
We’re celebrating you, our shining light
Yeah, baby, you’re our favorite song
Aaliyah, Aaliyah, we’ve loved you all along
Five little candles on a cake made of dreams
Life is more beautiful than it ever seems
Grace in your footsteps, kindness in your eyes
You are our greatest blessing, our sweetest surprise
Keep shining, keep dancing, keep reaching for the sky
With Mom and Dad right here, you never have to cry
Aaliyah, Aaliyah, you’re the magic that we see
Turning five today, you’re everything to me
With a heart full of joy and a spirit so bright
We’re celebrating you, our shining light
Yeah, baby, you’re our favorite song
Aaliyah, Aaliyah, we’ve loved you all along
Oh, may wisdom find you, may health stay near
We’re wishing you blessings through every coming year
Stephen and Nomsa are walking by your side
With so much love that we just can’t hide
Oh, yeah, oh, I need you, baby
It’s a celebration, let the laughter ring out loud
Standing here with you, making us so proud
Five years of sunshine, five years of grace
There’s no other love that could ever take your place
You’re the heartbeat of this home, our precious little queen
The brightest, smartest girl that we have ever seen
Aaliyah, Aaliyah, you’re the magic that we see
Turning five today, you’re everything to me
With a heart full of joy and a spirit so bright
We’re celebrating you, our shining light
Yeah, baby, you’re our favorite song
Aaliyah, Aaliyah, we’ve loved you all along
Happy birthday, Aaliyah
Five years of blessings, yeah
Stephen and Nomsa love you so much
Just keep shining, my baby
Yeah, mmm, shine on.
