[male
vocals]
[Intro] Oh,
what
a
journey,
what
a
grace
City
Light,
we’
re
running
this
race
[Verse 1] It
started
with
a
vision,
a
dream
in
her
soul
Mrs.
Kayula,
making
the
broken
hearts
whole
Virginia
Chibozu,
with
the
fire
inside
started
Starlight
Academy,
with
nowhere
to
hide
In 2011
the
seeds
were
all
sown
By 2015,
how
the
spirit
has
grown
From
Starlight
to
City
Light,
standing
so
tall
Answering
the
purpose,
answering
the
call
Yes
Lord,
we
praise
You
for
the
way!
[Chorus] Oh,
City
Light
Academy,
shining
so
bright
Guiding
our
children
into
the
light
From
twelve
to
forty-eight,
the
numbers
arise
We
lift
our
praises
up
to
the
skies
Thank
You
for
the
parents,
for
the
teachers
so
true
We
owe
all
the
glory,
O
God,
unto
You
Praise
Him,
City
Light,
shine
on!
[Verse 2] We
remember
the
year
twenty-twenty,
the
start
Twelve
precious
souls,
with
a
hopeful
heart
Then
fifteen,
then
twenty-four,
the
numbers
increased
Forty-eight
graduates,
the
favor
released
Grade
sevens
today,
standing
strong
in
the
sun
Reflecting
the
work
that
the
Master
has
done
And
our
grade
twelves
of
twenty-twenty-five
Gone
to
the
colleges,
keeping
the
dream
alive
Glory
to
the
work
You
have
led!
[Chorus] Oh,
City
Light
Academy,
shining
so
bright
Guiding
our
children
into
the
light
From
twelve
to
forty-eight,
the
numbers
arise
We
lift
our
praises
up
to
the
skies
Thank
You
for
the
parents,
for
the
teachers
so
true
We
owe
all
the
glory,
O
God,
unto
You
[Bridge] Through
difficult
seasons,
You
held
us
in
hand
The
strongest
foundation
across
all
the
land
To
every
supporter,
to
every
kind
soul
You
helped
us
reach
every
single
goal
We
are
grateful,
yes
we
are
grateful
today
For
the
City
Light
path,
for
the
City
Light
way
Amen,
thank
You
Jesus!
[Verse 3] Mrs.
Kayula,
your
labor
remains
Breaking
the
cycles
and
breaking
the
chains
The
students
are
rising,
the
future
is
here
Walking
in
boldness,
walking
in
cheer
This
is
the
seventh,
the
number
of
grace
Look
at
the
smile
on
every
child's
face
City
Light
Academy,
built
on
the
Rock
Standing
through
ages,
around
the
clock
[Chorus] Oh,
City
Light
Academy,
shining
so
bright
Guiding
our
children
into
the
light
From
twelve
to
forty-eight,
the
numbers
arise
We
lift
our
praises
up
to
the
skies
Thank
You
for
the
parents,
for
the
teachers
so
true
We
owe
all
the
glory,
O
God,
unto
You
[Outro] Shine
on,
City
Light,
shine
on
The
victory
is
won
From
strength
to
strength,
glory
to
glory
City
Light
Academy,
you
tell
the
story
Amen,
Amen,
Amen.
