(Soft piano chords)
We celebrate a life of light
Rest now, dear Minister Toluwani
The sanctuary feels a little quiet today
Without the melody you used to lead the way
Your voice was a bridge between the earth and the throne
But now the Father has called you to His own
We remember the fire, we remember the sound
Of your spirit dancing on holy ground
Oh Toluwani, you served with a heart so true
And heaven is brighter now that it's holding you
Rest in the arms of the Savior, sleep in the peace of the King
We hear the echo of the anthems you used to sing
Minister Toluwani, your work here is finally done
Safe in the glory, bathed in the warmth of the Son
Hallelujah, glory to the One who gives and takes
Rest in the light, for the promise that He makes
I see your face in the rhythm of every hymn
The lamp of your witness will never grow dim
You poured out your soul in every note that you raised
And now in the presence of God, you are forever amazed
Yes Lord, we trust You, even through the tears that fall
We thank You for the minister who answered the call
Toluwani, you ran the race and you finished it well
Leaving us stories of grace that we’re honored to tell
Rest in the arms of the Savior, sleep in the peace of the King
We hear the echo of the anthems you used to sing
Minister Toluwani, your work here is finally done
Safe in the glory, bathed in the warmth of the Son
Hallelujah, glory to the One who gives and takes
Rest in the light, for the promise that He makes
Though we mourn the distance, we cherish the grace
That brought you to finish your run in this place
Thank you Jesus for the life we shared for a while
We’ll miss your devotion, we’ll miss your bright smile
Rest, Minister Toluwani, rest in the love
That waits for us all in the heavens above
So we lift up our hearts in a final refrain
Finding our healing in spite of the pain
Your legacy lives in the songs that remain
In the power of prayer and the breaking of chain
Praise Him, for the rest that you finally found
In the city of gold where no sorrow is found
Toluwani, we love you, we’ll see you again
When our own journey ends, we’ll meet you—Amen
Rest in the arms of the Savior, sleep in the peace of the King
We hear the echo of the anthems you used to sing
Minister Toluwani, your work here is finally done
Safe in the glory, bathed in the warmth of the Son
Hallelujah, glory to the One who gives and takes
Rest in the light, for the promise that He makes
Rest in grace, Minister Toluwani
We’ll sing your songs until we meet above
Thank You Jesus
Amen
